Sandra Bartocha (*1980) is a German photographer, speaker and author specializing in natural landscapes as well as abstract work, with the specific aim of creating images that evoke an emotional response.
Growing up in the sparsely populated areas in northern Germany, she has been focussing on photographing forests and trees for a long time. It’s the peacefulness and the ever-changing appearance within the seasons that grab her attention again and again.

Sandra is vice president of the German Society for Nature Photography (GDT)and is the chief-editor of the magazine GDT Forum Naturfotografie. Her pictures are regularly exhibited and have been published in European magazines and several coffee table books. They have received prizes in numerous international competitions – including the Wildlife Photographer of the Year and the International Photography Awards.

She was one of the photographic team on the pan-European Wild Wonders of Europe initiative and has been working on a long-term project about the north of Europe – LYS.
